Wolfson Children’s Hospital is a private hospital that NEVER TURNS ANY CHILD AWAY, regardless of ability to pay. As the only children’s hospital between Orlando and Atlanta, Wolfson serves an ever increasing region – well into central Florida, up to Savannah and beyond, and even west of Tallahassee into Alabama. Truly family centered, it is one of the best children’s hospitals in the country, and its areas of specialty are renowned. Wolfson depends upon its donors to support the amazing work it does, and this is why the commitment of The Women’s Board is so vital. We are passionate about serving and saving the lives of Wolfson’s children, and we need you to partner with us.
The Women’s Board produces two major benefits each year – the Art & Antiques Show and the Florida Forum speaker series. These events, along with direct donations and gifts to endowments, raise more than $2 million annually for Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

SUPPORTING WOLFSON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
The Women’s Board has funded many areas of the hospital, including the Larry J. Freeman Behavioral Health Center, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Children’s Emergency Center, Cystic Fibrosis Research, Kids Kare Transport Program and Ambulances, Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Cardiovascular Program, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Radiology and Children’s Surgical Services. We also have given multiple gifts to the hospital to fund other vital hospital programs and equipment, such as pediatric heart monitors needed during cardiac surgery, high-tech “giraffe” beds for the tiniest patients, a new lifesaving ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) machine that literally acts as heart and lungs for a child in grave condition, and more.
We are proud to announce a new commitment to raising $4 million over five years to help fund the new NICU. The Women’s Board is currently in year 1 of a five-year, $4 million pledge to the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Over the next three years, Wolfson Children’s Hospital will undertake a campaign to build a new and improved NICU. The newly renovated NICU will feature:
- Suites designed with comfort and privacy for families in mind, while still maintaining visibility and easy access for NICU staff
- Modified lighting and soundproofing to reduce stress on newborns
- Critically important medical equipment designed to provide the highest standard of care
Baptist Health has committed a matching grant at 150 percent for a significant portion of this goal, making The Women’s Board’s ultimate donation a whopping $7 million.
The Women’s Board also funds several endowments vital to the future of Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Funds are donated to these endowments regularly and on an ongoing basis. Click here to view the 2019 Corporate Brochure.
