Wolfson Children’s Hospital, along with its partner Nemours Children’s Clinic, has a long tradition of providing pediatric general surgery -one of the most essential services provided at a children’s hospital-to the children of our region. Today and in the future, pediatric surgery is seeing advances in science and technology that were just dream a decade ago.

In our desire to assure that the children at Wolfson Children’s Hospital have access to the most advance pediatric surgical services and technologies available, the current funding target of The Women’s Board is the Pediatric Surgery Center of Distinction.

Pediatric surgeons, skilled in both the science of medicine and the art of surgery, provide a level of involvement that encompasses the entire spectrum of patient care. The hospital’s focus in developing the Pediatric Surgery Center of Distinction will enable the most skilled surgical staff to work on advancing surgical techniques, expand the use of minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and help the hospital meet he needs of pediatric trauma patients.
