Women’s Board Announces New Funding Target

We are pleased to announce our new funding target the Wolfson Childrens Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Wolfson Children’s Hospital Has a long history of providing the most essential services  to the children of our to the children of our region.  In 1972, Richard and Ray Martin lost a premature twin daughter, Abbie. At that time, Wolfson Children’s Hospital did not have the equipment necessary to support one premature infant, let alone two. Surviving twin Annie had to be transported in the back of her parents’ station wagon in an incubator to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where she stayed for almost five months.  Rather than place blame or hide from this overwhelming tragedy, Abbie’s family faced it head on. Art & Antiques weekend a boon for Women’s Board While all of Great Britain was keen with the news of Prince Harry’s engagement to actress Meghan Markle, Northeast Florida’s own philanthropic celebrities turned out for the Royal Affair Gala, kicking off the 41st Anniversary Art & Antiques Show, themed “London Calling.” This year’s gala was a return to the formal affair with full-length gowns and black tie, as patrons danced to melodies by the RiverTown Band. Presented by the Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the annual show featured nationally-acclaimed lecturers, internationally-recognized art and antiques dealers, the Opening Night Gala, and “Paddington at the Palace,” the Children’s Fashion Show, featuring current and former patients of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, followed by the “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.”

41st Annual Art & Antiques Show This Week

Where else can you visit 40 art and antiques dealers from across the country gathered in one location? Of note, Whitehall Antiques of Chapel Hill, NC, is back for their 38th Show along with several other longtime friends. The Show also features several dealers new to Jacksonville this year. We have another outstanding lecture series to offer.
